Got this at the weekend and haven't been able to put it down.Takes a bit of practice, but once you work it out, it's easy to fly.The two batteries which come with it, means that you have plenty of flying time, before needing to recharge again.Been able to take photos, and record videos, straight to my phone.
The product it self is not bad for beginners, even for over 14. The system is Basic and easy to learn I already learnt how to fly in the first 5 minutes so is not that complicated. The remote control is very easy to use you will require to read the instruction manual in order to understand ho to connect the drone with the remote and then everything else is simple and straightforward. The placement of the battery could be improved hover it hasn't created much issue to me for the moment.
This is good product for this price. It has various functions which can take photos and auto return back. This is just a little big cannot flod
I love this drone, it is easy to use, is packed with features, and performs exceptionally well!Battery life is more than sufficient, and they've even included a second to swap out!A lightweight structure, yet high quality components gives this drone a 10/10 rating.A solid drone that I'm proud to own and will definitely be purchasing more as gifts for special occasions.Really pleased with this
I’m a beginner quite old not a youngster but young at heart me and my brother are bricklaying contractors I thought I learn to fly this drone to put on our web site of the housing site we’ve nearly completedTook it to a field right let’s start engage the lift off button up she went not to high touched 1 of the controls away she went panic set in trying to use the return button but no go crashes into brambles but I’ve got say the s5c is well built the 2 batteries came in handy by the end of my first session not bad I thoughtToday no work I thought get the drone out back down to the field I thought I’ll take her up a bit went up about 30/40 feet but trying to bring her Down was a struggle because the drone is quite light the breeze caught her and she landed about 30m away but lucky for me in the next field but I must say after that I kept her close and was in control a lot more not bad I thought for only 2 sessionsIf I can do it anyone can
This drone/quadcopter is simply fantastic toy machine for the amateurs as well as for pro.its superior aerodynamic design and lightweight ensures excellent manoeuvrability and exceptional flying experience. Remote control and mobile apps are very user-friendly. This light drone can be best enjoyed with no or limited windy environments.
I have taken several flights with it and it’s proved it’s worth to me . It is easy to fly for a beginner , the camera does a good job with the WiFi making videos and pictures.I don’t call it a toy as it is capable of moving quickly through the air and should be used in a safe and respectful manner around people.I suggest buying multiple battery packs for it so you can keep flying!
I have been wanting a drone for a while and found this one for a bargain. It is so agile and also very fast. Camera on it is quite decent aswell. Build quality is reall good because it taken a lot of bumps while flying it. It comes with to rechargeable batteries so you can charge while using another it also comes with extra propellers. Setup was fairly simple which was just screwing on the landing bars and propeller protector bars and then you download an app and off you go. I’m looking to get a few more for Xmas presents. No need to spend silly on drones that cost an arm and leg.
Just unpacked it. It has been very easy to use. The instructions are quite clear. Used it take photos from above the buildings in this city and got stunning views. I would like to recommend it to everyone I know. This machine is of great use to professional photographers. The features on it are just more than satisfying. I will use it in an upcoming photography competition in our city. I hope it could be bring me the best city view photos.
I purchased this drone as a gift for my husband. Was simply to set up and connect his smartphone. The remote control is very responsive with good design and works perfectly. Great that you can monitor the drone from your smart phone and see what the drone sees through the camera. It looks very cool and is of the highest quality.
My previous drone is dead and gone. I tried to look for something similar as for an amateur was just perfect. I found this one and all is fine. The battery life last enough to get some great images. As I have some experience already I can say that it's easy to use, the app and the drone itself. It could use a better camera but for a begginer it's just perfect.
Very good experience, my first drone, is better to use outside, but indoor is cool as well. I crash few time but is very hard, I dont recomend use outside if is windy
Latest and last update concerning my experience of owning the S5C:Camera.....Initially I found this frustrating. I formatted my memory card and that helped with saving the videos. If filming in windy conditions them have some sea sickness pills handy when viewing the video. Filming indoors or on a calm day gives much better results. Video quality is OK and so are the stills.Free gift card in box....Snaptain did supply the gift within a couple of weeks. Great surprise and makes the drone a good value buy especially if you apply for the gift. Reviews which question the cost of the drone should take into account the added value of the gift.Customer service.....Delighted with the timely, professional and courteous responses to my emails concerning gift queries and comments I asked regarding sourcing of spare parts.Final thoughts.....Fly the drone in a wide open area. If the wind beats it then you will find your drone.Use the prop guards whilst you are getting to know the drone.I note that a spares pack is now on Amazon at a reasonable price.I'm glad I bought the S5C and look forward to seeing what other drones Snaptain produce in the future.............Update to the review you see under this comment. I've used the drone several times and would rate it just as a toy and just adequate as best. Definitely use the prop guards at first but they are flimsy and will break pretty quickly. Camera is a novelty and does not approach picture quality of say a basic smart phone.Snaptain give you a card in the box which promises one of two gifts if you write a review and send them a screenshot of said review along with your order details. Needless to say as of this time they have not acknowledged or supplied said gift. I will update the review if they fulfill as they say. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Got this yesterday and as an absolute newbie to drones I would like to suggest that the product booklet supplied could give clearer instructions. There does seem to be some lack of clarity in the keypad description that have helped me crash whilst having to use trial and error to get it to fly as well as possible. I am just getting a better idea of its operation by checking YouTube. I have had some success though and look forward to getting to a wide open space and putting it though its paces. It doesn't look like Amazon or eBay have UK suppliers of spares for this drone which is a shame as prop extra blades and guards will be needed by me for sure.Despite all of the above I'm pretty happy with this.
Opening the box, everything was there as described and very well packed...good first impressions. Then after reading the manual, which is surprisingly well written and understandable, i got to know the function buttons on the controller so i got it working via the controller. There are a few fault modes i need to get to know which the manual doesnt explain like beeping on the controller but i suspect this is low battery in the controller as i borrowed batteries from the tv remote. In flight (ive only had it indoors), after trimming, it is very stable (had another drone two years ago that was so hard to control) which I'm so glad for. After connecting the wifi on the phone to the done's wifi, i could see the camera picture - also surprisingly good. Though i havent yet flown via the phone. Thats where i'm up to now.In all, so far, im very very pelased with it and i think my son (and I) will love playing with it out in a field. It really is value for money.
I've never flown a drone, but decided to get a low-cost one and see how difficult/practical it is to get some aerial shots with one. This model was the "Amazon's Choice" selection, and also had good reviews, the right price tag and features.I spent about five minutes assembling it, read the instructions a few times and familiarised myself with the controls, switched on indoors and hit the "takeoff" button. It hovered nicely but moved back and left so I hit the trim buttons and it sat still.I took it outside and shot the video that's on the review. There was a gusty breeze blowing... but... once in the air, I managed to turn it, steer it, and gain the right altitude easily. I hit the landing button and you can see from the video how soft the landing was. I'm amazed how easy it was.Strongly recommended as a first drone. Pretty good video quality too.
After reading the reviews I decided to buy myself one of these. I’m a professional photographer and never ever used a drone before. I was a bit concerned about a couple of previous reviews about it taking off and never coming back. All I can say is how on earth did they manage that! I followed the instructions really carefully, calibrated the remote etc and I’ve had no problems. I’ve even crashed n burned a few times, but with the bumpers attached on the rotors it’s took quite a battering with no damage to rotors etc. I’m getting better at it now lol. I’ve not been bribed by any company to leave feedback this is my own review of the product.I will say, the Wi-fi can be a bit hit n miss, but as a first time flyer and cheaper drone I kind of expected that. Although I will say, the video is great and I’ve only been messing around in my garden. I’ve stayed away from high winds, although there was a nice breeze and the drone coped perfectly fine with this. I kept it lowish and just had fun learning how to fly. My stepson is a whizz & has done the 360° flips, you need it to be at a height of about 10ft for that which is fine & works amazingly well. The voice operation is also very good and the drone responds really well to that.It took me a while to figure out the SD card video. Could have done with a bit more in detail in the instructions about that but I watched a few YouTube vids that helped me with this. I’ve now got a 64gb hdxc card in the drone and love it that you can download straight to phone or remove and put in your computer for editing. You do need to leave the drone switched on to get the videos straight from the app, or just put the card into your pc. It came with an extra battery, propellers & screws for these as well as even having extra screw covers. Little touches I didn’t expect.Battery life was definitely more like 8-10 mins rather than the 7 advertised and that was running video too! It takes about ½ hr to charge the batteries but as you get 2, you can charge one whilst using other. I’m buying extra batteries for mine which are dirt cheap. It’s definitely a learning curve using any drone for the first time, but I have to say I am impressed with this as a first drone. It does so much more than expensive ones do. We are that impressed my stepson has even recommended this to his friends who want to learn to fly.The return home button is mega great as you won’t lose it into the ether. The remote looks a bit plasticy but holds my iPhone XS very safely and I can see what I’m shooting. The camera also moves up & down so you can angle what you want to capture. All I can say is there’s so many things on this drone that is fantastic. I’m really pleased & impressed. If you’re after your first drone..buy it. You won’t regret it.
